If your allocation was a remote hearing where (1) all parties bar the judge attended remotely, or (2) all parties including the judge attended remotely and where you did not receive a .mp4/.mp3 recording of the hearing, please detail here how receiving the FTR Player or RCPlayer recording impacted on each person’s voice as far as possible. E.g “Judge in courtroom and Applicant remote, fine. Respondent remote, generally fine, odd occasions where distortion, not a huge impact on transcription. Respondent solicitor, frequent distortion – spoke throughout and at length which resulted in a lot of (inaudible) instances and increased transcription time. All other speakers OK. Would have benefited from original audio.” This is an example only. This will be feedback to the MoJ itself. We will not be able to edit these comments and any deemed inappropriate/unprofessional will be deleted and not fed back so please consider your wording accordingly.
In here please ALSO advise if there was a different audio duration to what you were advised on the allocation email. For instance, if a witness evidence was reported as being from 9:30 to 11:30 and showing as 120 minutes in duration, but there was actually a 30 minute break and a 5 minute section that was not to be typed, please advise here as well that the total audio transcribed was 85 minutes in duration (for example). This should be done per 'section' being transcribed unless you've been allocated the whole hearing.
